Area 7 Volleyball Champs!

The ISS Varsity Girls Volleyball Team defeated Central Coosa Monday night to claim the Area Championship for the third consecutive year!

Leading the team were Ava Davis ’18 with 32 assists and 4 digs; Chloe Yeager ’16 with 13 kills, 1 ace, and 1 dig; Stella Davis ’16 with 8 kills; Margot Balliet ’16 with 7 kills, 6 aces, and 13 digs; and Julianne Baker ’16 with 6 digs and 4 aces.

Stella Davis, Baker, and Yeager were named to the All-Tournament Team, and Balliet was selected Tournament MVP.

In addition to winning the 2015 and 2014 Class 3A/Area 7 Championships, Springs' Varsity Volleyball Team claimed the 2013 Class 3A/Area 8 Championship.

The team (28-2, 5-0) now advances to the South Super Regional, where the Varsity Girls will take on Opp High School at 10:15 a.m. Friday on Court 3 of the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.

"I am very proud of the way this team has progressed through the season!” says Head Coach Tiffany Reedus-Hunter. “The team has rallied together and reached several goals we set for the year. We are excited to compete at the Super Regional tournament and will give it our all!"
