Springs Students Shine at State Mock Trial Competition
Two teams of Indian Springs students placed in the top 10 and two others in the top 20 at the 2019 YMCA state mock trial competition, held November 2–4 in Montgomery:

13th place (Defense) Luke Hillegass ’20 (Team Captain), Bob Fu ’21, Andrew Glassford ’22, Wellington Jiang ’22, Amitis Moradkhani ’22, and Virginia Slaughter ’22
19th Place (Prosecution) Rosa Sabel ’23 (Team Captain), Nicol Mai ’22, Emiliano Martinez ’22, Richard Monk ’23, Brasley Zanaty ’22, and Rosie Li ’21
Fifty-four Alabama schools—represented by over 600 students and coaches—competed in the Major League at the 2019 state mock trial competition. In addition to our competing students, Indian Springs was represented this year also by Riley Sandford '22, who served a bailiff, and Jordyn Hudson ’21, who served as a judge and an award announcer. The Indian Springs Mock Trial Team currently has 32 members and is coached by Carole Mazer and D’Anthony Allen.
