Experience:
Emanual has played djembe with such greats as Taj Mahal and toured as the supporting act for the White Stripes. He has also worked on tours ranging from the HORDE Festival to Ozzfest. As an audio engineer, he has mixed and recorded bands ranging from The Secret Sisters and Delta Rae to local heroes Black Jacket Symphony, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, as well as several others. As an electrical engineer, his world-renowned guitar effects units are used by bands like the Flaming Lips, the Police, Sonic Youth, and the Black Keys. As an educator, Emanual instructed classes and private lessons in percussion and Recording Sciences through ArtPlay (UAB), and lead drum classes for at-risk youth at family resource centers, summer school programs, and the YWCA.
